Steven Chao

Partner

Steve is one of the founders of ClearView Healthcare Partners and has an extensive and diverse background in the healthcare space, including as a strategic life sciences consultant, as a physician, and as a scientist. He has led projects focused on therapeutic area growth, clinical development optimization, scientific mechanism prioritization, and facilitative engagements driving to brand strategy, as well as due diligence, spanning a wide variety of therapeutic areas. He has partnered extensively with stakeholders across the life sciences industry, including leading biopharma, diagnostic, medical device, and biotech companies.

Prior to founding ClearView, Steve held positions at McKinsey and Company, where he led strategic engagements in the pharmaceutical, payer, and provider industries, and at Leerink Swann Strategic Advisors, where he was a Vice President.

Steve received his MD and his Ph.D. degrees from Harvard Medical School, with his Ph.D. from the Department of Neuroscience, and has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles. He graduated summa cum laude with his B.A. in Biochemistry from Harvard University.
