Jim Caruso

Chief Financial Officer

Jim is the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for all aspects of corporate accounting and finance, including financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, capital management, tax, and treasury management. Jim has 30 years of diverse experience in financial management, M&A transactions, information technology and operations, including three prior CFO roles in private equity-backed companies. Jim has also been a CPA-firm partner, where he led a finance-and-accounting-outsourcing division, as well as a transaction advisory practice. He has a Big Four auditing and consulting background. In his roles in financial management and in professional services, Jim’s focus has been on building teams and scaling infrastructure for growth.

Jim was also an adjunct professor in the Strategic Design Executive MBA program at Philadelphia University (later merged into Thomas Jefferson University) from 2014 through 2017.Jim earned his BA in Accounting and Information Systems at Queens College of the City University of New York, and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive while not in public practice).

Beyond his role at ClearView, Jim is a member of the Editorial Board of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where he is a frequent contributor of content to the Pennsylvania CPA Journal’s online blog, print magazine, and podcast. He is also a member of the steering committee for the Private Equity Executives Roundtable of the Association for Corporate Growth, Philadelphia chapter.
