End of Year Volunteering

Volunteering Recap

Rosie's Place

Boston CV Cares & Wellness partnered with WomenLEAD to support Rosie’s Place! Rosie’s Place was founded in 1974 as the first women-only shelter in the United States. What began as a safe place for poor and homeless women to get a bed and a meal in Boston has grown into a community center providing wide-ranging support, education, and outreach services to 12,000 women a year.

Rosie’s Place provides multiple ways to get involved, and CV Cares & Wellness and WomenLEAD partnered to provide care packages for the individuals at Rosie’s Place. The goal of the care packages was to include a bundle of personal items with the groceries that Rosie’s Place distributes to their Food Pantry. Ultimately, we put together over 40 care packages!

CV Cares also organized a group of ClearViewers from the Boston office to volunteer at Rosie’s Place and assist with meal preparation, serving, and clean up. We had a great time and hope to continue working with Rosie’s Place, and special thanks to Brennan Yee, Analyst and Allie Duso-Sparks, Senior Research Coordinator, for their efforts!

Father's Heart

NY CV Cares & Wellness partnered with MOSAIC to support Father’s Heart in NYC! Father’s Heart is a non-profit organization in the East Village that offers a variety of programs such as ESL and GED tutoring, a teen job training and employment program, and soup kitchen and pantry.

CV Cares organized a group of ClearViewers from the New York office to assist with meal preparation and serve guests of the soup kitchen and food pantry. We served over 1,000 individuals, and are excited to continue supporting Father’s Heart!

City Harvest

NY CV Cares organized a food drive in the New York office to support City Harvest during the holiday season. City Harvest is NYC’s largest food rescue organization and has been working to end hunger in New York City for 40 years. To date, City Harvest has rescued and delivered over 1 billion pounds of nutritious food for New Yorkers. We hope to continue working with City Harvest!
