In addition, you will be exposed to a wide variety of business issues ranging from new product planning and business development to product commercialization.

Responsibilities

Connect to ClearView is a unique opportunity for advanced degree candidates focused in the life sciences to experience three days as a life sciences strategy consultant and get to know ClearView. ClearView managers will lead teams of graduate and professional students through an engagement based on high impact pharmaceutical development strategy projects. In addition, you will be exposed to all aspects of consulting at ClearView including:

  • Best-in-class mentorship
  • Team brainstorming sessions
  • Secondary and primary research
  • Problem-solving methodologies
  • Revenue forecasting
  • Presentation and storyline development
  • Oral presentations

The program will take place on July 26 - 28 and August 23 - 25 at our office in Boston. ClearView will take care of all travel and lodging for non-local participants.

Qualifications

Connect to ClearView is focused on advanced degree candidates (e.g., Ph.D., Postdoc, M.D., M.B.A.). To be eligible for the program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Dedicated interest and background in the life sciences
  • Aiming to complete your degree by June 2018
  • Seriously considering life sciences consulting as a career option
  • Committed to attending the full 3-day program in July or August

Life Sciences Strategy Consultant (Experienced Professional)

You will interact with both clients and teams within ClearView to address critical strategic questions within the biopharmaceutical space. During the course of a typical project, you will engage in a number of activities, including:

  • Conduct complex problem-solving through a hypothesis-based approach
  • Complete primary and secondary research to drive to critical insights
  • Create and utilize analytic tools (e.g., forecast models) to support key decision-making
  • Communicate recommendations to clients to inform strategy and maximize value

Qualifications

We are seeking motivated individuals with a degree in the life sciences and full-time work experience in consulting and/or the biopharmaceutical industry. A successful experienced Consultant candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MD, MBA, post-doc) in the life sciences with 1+ years of full-time experience in the consulting or biopharmaceutical industries
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Enthusiasm for working collaboratively in a dynamic, team-based environment
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Highly analytical approach to solving complex problems

If you do not have full-time work experience, a separate application portal for applicants applying directly out of academic programs (e.g., undergraduate, Master's, PhD, MBA, MD) or post-doctoral positions will open in early 2017.
